The Dublin 5

What a great week for racing in Dublin. Between Saturday and Wednesday I was absolutely spoiled for choices with different races everywhere. If you wanted you could run 10km around the Phoenix Park on Saturday afternoon, 5 Miles bright and early on a sunny Sunday, 5 Miles about the Dublin Docklands on a rainy Tuesday after work or hit the track for some sprints, middle distance or field events at the Dublin Graded Track and Field Meets. All that was left for RacePix to figure out were the logistics of getting to as many of these races as possible

Saturday - Thousands hit the streets of Dublin for the annual Calcutta Charity Run

Sunday - Sportsworld raised over €15,000 for Crumlin Children's Hospital at their annual 5 Mile Classic

Monday - Alive Outside 6km and 10km races in Lepordstown

Tuesday - Thousands braved the rain to take part in what must be the flattest, fastest 8km route in Dublin

Wednesday - 'Leg It For Your Liver' - The inaugural race for Hepatitis awareness took place on World Hepatitis Day.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing a week as busy as that for some time around these parts but I’m glad that RacePix caught a lot of the action.
