This is Dublin!

Yes! It’s that time of year again. The marathon has reared it’s head and rolled back into town. This Monday a record number of feet will be pounding 26.2 miles around Dublin between 9am and around 3pm. It’s been a few years since two of them feet have been my own and this year is no different. Instead I’ll be running around the course trying to get as many photos in as many locations as I possibly can.

The months of toiling around the roads, parks and treadmills all comes down to this day. The Adidas Race Series has been done, the t-shirts collected, the shoes worn, the miles logged, the physios visited and the carbohydrates loaded. All that’s left is a mere 26.2 miles…

Earlier on I posed the question wondering how a people would be celebrating this year when they cross the line. A range of emotions and styles can be seen from the finish line shots at the marathon in Dublin last year. Here are a few of my favourites:

The Airplane

The Fist Pump

Double Handed Fist Pump

The Cartwheel

The Collapse

The Crossing The Line With Your Child
